Snowball Fight in Hell

It’s usually “hot as Hell” here in our city where we live in Arizona. Well at least for 5 months you get true summer like weather.

I’ve seen it get as hot as 118 degrees on our thermometer in the summer. And I have heard multiple reports of it getting to 135 degrees. This past summer was supposedly a cool summer.

In fact, I have heard that it’s the hottest city for average year round temperature in the United States.

This is our second winter here and it’s the first time I’ve seen it snow. According to someone who has lived here for 35 years this is only the second time she’s seen it snow here.

Actually I just found out and the last time it snowed here was 27 years ago.

This morning I woke up shocked to find a snowstorm and the temperature actually below 31 degrees in the daytime. The snow was blowing quite thick when I first got up but then was more like flurries later on.

This is a city all sorts of snowbirds from the US and Canada come to spend the winter. But for us who used to live in Hawaii, it just gets too cold here in the winter. We prefer summer like weather all year round. Which is exactly what you get in Hawaii. And yet they talk about their wintertime because it gets maybe 3 to 5 degrees cooler in the winter months.

Although Andrew was having a ball because he’s been wanting to play in the snow for many years and never got a chance. Well he doesn’t remember when he was two and playing in the snow in New Jersey.

Yes our kids eat a ton of greens and it’s largely due to what you’ll learn in the Yummy Greens System. And yes Andrew is an EXTREMELY finicky eater and yet he still eats a ton of greens daily.
