The past few weeks I haven’t been working out as much as I would like. It’s funny, but the less you do of something, the less you want to do it.

What I noticed is that since I wasn’t doing as much exercise lately, I started losing interest in exercising. Do you see the psychological principle I just revealed?

I know that some people even believe they weren’t meant or designed to exercise. But that’s a bunch of poppy cock. It’s all in the proper use of self-motivating principles.

What’s really going on is that you’re stuck in the sloth-like, couch potato habit. Exercise is just as addictive if not more so than being a couch potato. All you have to do is get into a regular exercise routine or start a new exercise habit and you’ll soon find yourself addicted to moving.

So let me get back to my exercise rut so I can better explain the psychology of what happened to me. I was still exercising but not as often and my workouts were very brief. I started lacking the desire to exercise. What was going on?

I can attribute it to a number of causes:

1. The main reason was that I’ve been getting less sleep lately. I’ve been doing a great program to get myself to start waking up earlier in the morning. (I don’t want to miss any daylight.)

That has been really successful for me. But in the process I’ve been sleeping a lot less than normal and often feeling really tired. When I’m tired I don’t feel like exercising.

2. We’ve been having a ton of rainy days lately. Part of my exercise program was done outside and going to the park. But with all of this rain, I certainly wasn’t going to the park and exercising. I could have done more at home, so that’s not a good excuse. But it got me out of my regular routine. That’s the key!

3. I started a new habit of looking at my computer first thing in the morning. Instead of working out and doing my other pre-work routines.

So you see, I started new habits and they actually dulled my desire to exercise. Each thing you do has a consequence to it. These new habits were like an anti-exercising virus that killed my motivation.

One Of The Most Important Habits

One of the most important habits is how you start your day. The better you start your day, the better the day seems to go. Get started doing something good for yourself and that success feeling spreads throughout the day.

You’ll feel better about yourself all day long. Focus your energies on doing something positive and self-disciplined to start your day.

Here’s precisely what I did to get out of my rut.

I set a much higher fitness goal for my early morning workout. I picked a certain number of push-ups I wanted to accomplish in the morning workout. Was triple what I was previously doing. I also increased the number of Lightning Speed Exercises I’d normally do.

Man am I now flying with extra energy and enthusiasm because of my workout. I’m psyched again about doing my Lightning Speed Exercises. I’m actually on fire for fitness.

I also did another thing this morning. I didn’t look at my computer first thing. Instead, I did my daily Imagination Science exercise and filled in my To Do list. This was my previous morning routine that was working well for me by getting my day off on the right foot.

So I’m starting new positive habits. Do you see how easy it is to start a new habit? And sometimes those new habits will tear you down and sometimes they build you up. Just realize that you can change your patterns at any time and that if it’s productive for your life, the habit will grow on you and want you to continue it.

Actually any habit good or bad influences your desires. And that is what you have to watch out for. So the more you move, the more you exercise, the more you think right and eat right, the more of those things you’ll naturally want to do.

You can apply this psychological principle with your diet as well.

Why not at least start your day with eating only raw foods and reading or listening to motivational raw food educational materials. That might spill over into lunchtime as well. You might just catch the fever to go raw.

Or use this principle. Always start your meals with raw foods. The more raw foods you eat, the less room you’ll have to eat cooked foods.

Excitement and motivation are the keys in life. If you can get motivated, you can start a new habit. The more you do the new habit, the more motivated you become to continue along in that habit. And the exercise habit is great, because it gives you such a great natural high. It’s really a dynamic feeling. I just feel more powerful and more charismatic when I’m doing my Lightning Speed Fitness Routine. And that feeling stays with me for hours.

My blood is pumping, the natural endorphins are released and so is the human growth hormone. I’m talking about what’s natural in your body. 1. Start your day with a positive habit.

2. The more of something you do, the more you want to do it. The more you exercise, the more you’ll want to exercise.

3. A vigorous exercise program will make you feel out of this world. It will give you confidence and it gives you a pump or a natural high.

Make sure you go and do some exercise right now. Start the habit and keep on doing it for the rest of your life. You’ll be so happy you did… even if you believe yourself to be a born couch potato.

It just isn’t true.
