Sorry I haven't kept in touch, I've been drunk all week…

I'm sorry it's been so long since I've emailed you or put up a new post. The problem is I was drunk all week long.

Drunk with desire that is. I haven't drunk any alcohol in at least ten years and barely more than a couple of glasses of beer in 20 years. I drank more beer at two years old than I did at 21. That's a story for another day.

However, I do often find myself getting drunk with passion for something. I get so obsessed that I get out of my normal routine. This past week I decided to break some of my own rules so I could really focus on certain areas of my business.

I purposely unbalanced myself so I could get more done in a focused way.

I've been working on using a new technology with my websites. This involved a lot of reading, writing and experimentation. Then I wasn't satisfied with that and I spent many hours scouring the Internet looking for a different solution.

I've been glued to my computer monitor day and night. Reading, researching and doing webmastering kinds of tasks.

I also encountered some breakthrough marketing books and programs. Last night I found this great service but it was also something I could learn from and study.

I was and still am burning with excitement to learn more. I didn't want to go to sleep. I just wanted to learn more and more.

I get that way from time to time. I have a passion for many things. When I get into something I can have a one track mind.

The problem with all of that… was that other areas of my life were getting neglected. I slept less than I should have. I stopped doing my daily spiritual exercise for the last 3 days.

And because I was so tired and because we had rainy weather I just didn't exercise as much as I normally would.

I also had an injury to my toe which stopped me from doing push-ups. But that turned out to be a benefit because it spurred me to find new solutions to get around my injury.

That injury actually resulted in me developing ideas for a new audio program which I'll soon be adding as a bonus to my bodyweight exercises program.

The good news…

Their was a great and unintended benefit to me being so unbalanced.

Today as usual is my Divine Power Friday. It's a day where I make as much of my focus as possible on God or on giving love. It's a type of mental or spiritual fast. I should be doing it every day, but let me first master doing it to a high degree at least one day a week.

I've discussed the benefits of doing this in other Divine Power Fridays posts. Basically it opens you to a higher spiritual consciousness or plane. This enables a greater flow of love and happiness through your physical body and it spreads to everyone around you. It can make you giddy with excitement.

It's a way of cleaning the world around you and of serving your true cause. Which is to help others realize they are spiritual beings as well and that they are loved.

What was so neat was how quickly I felt a spiritual boost from doing my daily spiritual exercise. I call it a multivitamin for the soul. I recommend you try doing your own kind of visualization, meditation, prayer, reading or form of spiritual exercise every morning to start your day.

It's not like I forgot that I'm a Divine being, I just didn't do my normal practice over the past few days. But doing my exercise today immediately infused me with light and love. I was again grateful and happy to do my daily visualization, writing and spiritual reading. It was like a spiritual injection of light and love.

Sometimes you can appreciate something much more, the less of it you have…

A few tips I learned for increasing your spiritual focus:

Today I discovered some great ways to increase my focus on the presence of the Divine. One technique is to have something that you do every day and use that as a specific time for you to focus on God.

You won't believe the first one. I figured that something I do several times a day is go to the bathroom. So why not, whenever I'm in the bathroom, use that as a reminder or a cue to focus on God or on giving love or increase.

Next, I decided, every time I'm in the kitchen preparing food and or eating food I'd use that time to focus on God as well.

I noticed when I have these specific times it gets me really focused on my goal. Instead of just saying, I'm going to focus on God or love all day long, I pick specific activities in which I'll use to focus on God as much as possible.

Later I took a walk and did some gentle physical exercises. I also used it as a walking spiritual experience. At first, I chanted a mantra while walking to the park. Actually, I wasn't walking like normal people would.

I was walking in a way to exercise a specific part of my body. So I was getting sunshine, fresh air, exercise and focusing on God all at the same time. That’s what you call efficiency or multi-tasking.

Later on I decided to do some calf raises at the park playground. Every time I did one repetition I said God. Afterwards I decided that every step I took I would say to myself "God." I tried to realize and appreciate that everything and everyone I saw was a part of me and a part of God.

Then I made sure to smile as much as possible. Surprisingly I wasn't smiling. I guess that takes a bit of effort.

Maybe you think I've flipped my lid…

After all I was drunk for most of the week

But I can tell you from many years of doing mental fasts that there is an incredible energy you will feel and others will feel when you start to put your attention into the higher planes of life.

By focusing on God and or giving love, you are actually unlocking the key to the higher planes of consciousness. To be in heaven you simply have to serve heaven. The point is, you'll actually start perceiving yourself entering a higher plane of existence.

You'll feel the light and love emanating from your being. It's a way to expanded happiness and freedom.

Give love and much more love and happiness will come back to you than you ever gave. We have an abundant Universe. Abundant in a dynamic spiritual energy.

Disneyworld was boring compared to this…

When a whole group of people (say about 2,000) do this it's an incredible feeling. I've been to many spiritual seminars and the bulk of the people there where opening themselves up to Divine Love, there was literally no other place on the planet I wanted to be than at that seminar and with those people.

That is my true home. That is all of our true homes, the realm of the Divine. One time I was at a seminar in Orlando, Florida, toward the end of the seminar, a group of us went to Disney World. I must say that Disney world was drab and boring compared to the seminar.

Can you imagine that? That happened because the collective consciousness of Disney World was much lower than the collective consciousness of the seminar.

The seminar area was radiating light, divine love, good feelings and friendliness. But Disney World was an outer world thing and outer world focus. It was dark and lifeless compared to the seminar.

Of course, you don't need a whole bunch of people giving love to feel it yourself. But it does help and make it easier for you. You actually can get carried on the wave of Divine Love created by others. It's a magical experience.

However the more you give love, the more it will be a habit and the more people around you will start to follow your example. You can therefore create your own paradise at any time by going within, focusing on God and giving unconditional love.

I hope you've enjoyed this edition of Divine Power Friday's.

I wasn't believing it for a minute (that you were actually drunk), but my curiosity piqued, I bopped on over to see what new superfood you'd tried. Didn't guess it was passion. What new technology are your learning?

Hi Roger. I enjoyed your blog this morning - and was very much inspired. Earlier this morning upon waking, the first words out of my mouth were, "Father God, show we what to sing, when to sing, and where to sing. Let me be a blessing for You". You see, Roger, God gave me a gift years ago to sing - and I have not used that gift - much. Your message today inspired me to press in closer to God and to seek to understand His direction more for my life. I have been so busy with work, and with homework (I recently enrolled in the University of Natural Health) that I have neglected my other calls, ie. singing.

May God bless you, enlighten you with Truth, and satisfy your deepest longings

Pam
