The past couple of days I’ve been completely debunking the silly notion that you shouldn’t eat very much fruit because it has fructose in it.
But the world is not black and white.
Too many people take an all or nothing or religious view to Raw Food eating. But this ain’t religion, it’s a diet and we have a modern world and hundreds of compounding factors to consider.
There is a situation when you’d be well advised to watch your intake of fructose via fruit.
When would you do that?
When and if you have problems with your liver. If you have less than optimal liver function then indeed you may start running into problems with eating a lot of fruit.
And even if you have been able to eat fruit just fine, you may still have a less than fully functioning liver.
This can be noticed when you get pregnant. (Not a male situation obviously.)
But when you get pregnant your body is going through something extremely difficult and taxing. And your liver starts working overtime because you have another little person growing inside of you.
That’s when all of a sudden you might notice you have a total aversion or disgust with eating fruit.
I’ve seen it happening with my own eyes and have observed several mothers who used to eat 100% raw but where unable to continue doing so when pregnant.
If this happens to you during pregnancy need to consider if maybe you have a less than perfect liver.
If you don’t then you’re going to have to find a different source of carbohydrates than fruit.
Some people will switch to eating cooked potatoes, sweet potatoes and grains.
But there are savory RAW carb sources that are much lower in fructose than fruit.
I’ll be going into that in more depth in the upcoming “Fruited Out Formula”. Yeah, I’m sorry it’s been delayed a lot longer than I initially planned.

So if you’re one of those people who have problems with eating fruit you need to get your liver checked out.
That could be your problem.
Not everyone in all health conditions can eat unlimited quantities of fruit.
But if you’re reasonably healthy eating fruit is not going to be a problem at all.
It won’t cause cancer.
It won’t prematurely age you as the fructose fear mongers try to make it seem.
Also, I’ve never seen a study anywhere on high fruit eaters that proves this point. This is purely conjecture by Dr. Mercola. For he does believe that even getting fructose from fruit is dangerous. But this does not prove out in real life with raw foodists.
On the contrary…
Fruit eating makes you energetic, happy and it keeps your skin smooth and soft even in your advancing years.
