The Easy Way to Get Fit

In my life I always gravitate towards the quick and easy way of doing things.

I get bored with long and complicated techniques that are hard to learn and that take years of study.

Give me something that is easy to grasp and saves me time and I’m loving it.

Take for instance, this creativity podcast I was recently listening too.

My God was it complicated.

You had to go through all of these crazy complicated steps to “become creative”. That’s just not my style.

I like fast, simple and easy whenever possible. I like learning in little bite sized chunks. And I suspect you do to.

In this information age we’re over saturated with information.

No one wants to read a thousand page book when expertly written ten pages tells you everything you need to know.

Time after all is money.

In this day and age a great piece of information is not based on length or complexity but on impact on your life.

I like Einstein’s thinking on this.

“Everything Should Be Made as Simple as Possible, But Not Simpler”

And that’s exactly what I strive achieve in the health and fitness programs I create.

I mean if you go to a personal trainer to get fit they like to way overcomplicate what should be super simple and easy.

You have to learn all sorts of form and twenty different exercises for your workout.

You have to go to the gym and master all of the machines. Heck in college I actually had a course (for college credits) called “Body Development” in which I had to learn how to use the Nautilus exercise machines as part of the training. I had to learn the theory behind it etc. Yes I had written tests on what I learned.

But these days I just want something that works and that I can grasp within 10-minutes.

Take for instance my “1 to 5-Minute Super Workout”.

All you need to do is a SINGLE total body exercise, six times and in 10 second sets. For you guessed it a total of one minute. But that’s only if you’re not used to exercising.

And you can do it at random times throughout the day. That means you can do a set and while you’re catching your breath move on to checking your email, reading a book, watching TV or doing something else. Which translates into a full workout in about a minute because you don’t waste time on rest periods between sets.

If you’re in better shape you’ll likely want to up your workout to three minutes and if you’re in great shape then you may want to spend a mere four to five minutes on your workout.

Sounds pretty easy right?

Would you trade five minutes of your day to feel incredible, boost your energia, build muscle in your upper body and legs, strengthen your abs, increase athleticism and burn blubber?

We have one member who did just that for the first couple of weeks. She just committed to doing just one minute of exercise and that was it at first. For her that was more exercise than she did the previous six months.

But after a while she would do her minimum and then do more exercises during bathroom breaks at work. It was wonderful to see her progress and how she’d do 5 extra mini-workouts during her bathroom breaks at work. She has now completed 30 days in a row of exercise and is continuing with the new challenge. That’s a whole heck of a lot better than doing nothing for 6 months.
