A Champion's Approach To Going Raw

Something I've discovered over my years of coaching people to success with the raw food diet is this…

You'll succeed or fail at going 100% raw based on your mindset or beliefs. It's not about your body type or this or that excuse. It's about your beliefs.

I've also found that highly successful people have an easier time going raw. People who have studied self-improvement books and personal growth materials seem to have better tools to succeed at going raw.

Going raw is all about what you think and believe. This then of course affects how you act and react and what decisions you end up making.

A perfect example is Kristin a new member of HowToGoRaw.com. I've been following her progress and it's been simply amazing. As of today she's been 100% raw for 28 days. This is not why her progress has been amazing to me. But her mindset. She has the mindset of a champion and has brought that mindset to going raw.

She just made up her mind to go raw one day and that was it. Of course, she was influenced by her father Tom, who's been having stupendous results and is also a HowToGoRaw.com member. He's been 100% raw for about 6 months now and it has completely transformed his life.

It's opened up new possibilities for him that simply weren't possible while eating cooked food. Again, Tom was someone who came from a background of self-improvement. This makes a huge difference whether or not going raw will be easy for you.

Luckily HowToGoRaw.com is a self-improvement resource in itself. I have a whole section devoted to that area alone and the books and programs to help overcome cooked food addiction are loaded the best habit changing and self-improvement techniques I've either developed or come across in the last 25 years of study.

Changing habits is not something difficult, it's simply a learned skill.

Now let me get back to Kristin. It seems no matter what the adversity she finds a way around it and is able to stay raw. One time early on she didn't bring enough food with her on a trip. And she had to hardly eat anything that day.

A big secret to staying raw is to make sure you eat enough raw food so you don't think about or crave cooked food. But she wasn't able to manage that on that day.

But she toughed it out, stayed raw anyway, (even though she was really hungry) and learned to take extra food with her on trips.

Then recently she made a long post in her Checking In forum. I'll post one paragraph from it here:

"I found that without the distraction of making a smoothie or some complex salad, the smells from her food were almost impossible to ignore. Even though I've formed the habit of eating raw already, I'm not immune to smells. So when she asked me to sit down with her at the table, I told her no. I still like the smell of cooked food. I reckon I'd still like the taste of cooked food, if I were to eat it. But I have no desire to sit down across from her, watching her eat, smelling her food, and desiring it. I'm not a martyr. I've been unconsciously setting myself up for success at home, but when confronted with a situation where my usual ingredients for success (pun intended) aren't present, I have to do what's best for me and for my success. And in this case, it meant not sitting down with her. So I stood across the kitchen from her. And it worked."

"Her" in this case, was her mother. Kristin instinctively knew what to do in this situation. There's an easy way to stay raw and a hard way. Kristin knew the importance of looking after her own needs first. So many people fail at going raw because they feel they have to do what society tells them to do.

But sometimes the common societal rules or norms aren't in your best interests. If you go back to how these societal norms origingated you'll realize they were designed to serve the interests of the leaders of the group. Not the individual group members. You can learn much more about these Freedom Principles by reading, "How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World," by Harry Browne. That is one of my all time favorite books and it's very important to understand what he's teaching in there if you want to have a full life and if you wish to succeed at going raw.

A champion doesn't care what others think. The champion just goes for the Gold, the prize. The champion doesn't come up with lame excuses for failure. The champions comes up with many reasons for being successful.

The smells of cooked food were really getting to her. Many people would have succumbed to eating cooked food. The addiction would have overwhelmed them. And they would have sat down with their mother. They want to give their mothers love by sitting next to them and even by eating the foods she prepared for them with love.

But you've got to realize eating poison even if it's made with love is still poison.

Kristin is constantly making plans to beat the cooked food habit. She's taking action. She's reading the best resources on going raw and actually using them. She also participates actively in the forum. This is one of the biggest keys to raw success.

This is a big difference between the champions and the amateurs. The amateurs will read the raw food diet books and that is all. The champions will read them once through. And then study the book daily, in depth.

In fact, I have an incredible system available to HowToGoRaw.com members which shows you how to succeed with any self-improvement book or program. Most people simply don't know how to use the personal growth materials they've received. That is why they fail. Almost always the self-improvement program works it's just how the person applies that information.

You can't just read it and expect to succeed. You have to imbibe it and live it. That's what I'll show you exactly how to do with The Discourse Study Method which you can only get by becoming a member of HowToGoRaw.com. It will show you how to take any classic self-help book or diet program or any program to improve your life and make the most of it.

I've been using that method since 1987 and boy what a difference it has made in the results in my life. I'm even using that method these days. It never gets old and you can get excited about books and programs you've long forgotten.

It's the fun and sure way to success in life. You can just read a book once and not do anything. And you can't just read and try something for a few days and expect success. You need a step-by-step daily plan. Consistent daily action will get you through the setbacks and failures.

And this plan needent take more than 15 minutes a day. The key is a daily approach. Again I give all of the details of this method for any level of membership at HowToGoRaw.com.

Another big secret of most champions is to get a coach. Kristin has mentioned numerous times how having my feedback and support and her father's support has made it much easier for her to stay raw.

Another member mentioned the same thing recently. She noticed that the more she logged in to the forum the better her days went and the easier it was for her to stay raw. You want to spend as much time as possible with like minded people.

People who have the same goals as you and people who are already successful at the goal you want to achieve. The more you hear their words the more you take on their thoughts and point of view.

Over time you take on the 100% raw food diet mindset as your own because of this interaction. You'll learn to think like a Raw Foodist. When you think like a raw foodists, you'll be one. It's as simple and as hard as that.

And realize this HUGELY IMPORTANT POINT: You Are A Champion

The only reason you've not become a champion in some area of your life is because of this famous quote by Henry Ford:

"If you think you can do a thing or if you think you can't do a thing, you're right."

We all live move and have our beingness inside of God. We live in heaven right here and right now. Every atom and every molecule of your being and everything you see is Divine. Health, beauty, wisdom, happiness and wealth are flowing all around you in abudance as big as the Milky Way.

We are all champions by the very nature of our Divine Birthright. But we've also been given freewill to believe that we're not champions.

Why not be all that you can be. Take the champion's road to going raw or towards achieving any goal you have in life.
