Hi Roger
Thank you for your informative newsletters.
I suffered from depression for 15 years. I must have tried going raw at least 9 times. Four of these were for a whole month, and 5 for 10-14 days. My depression was NEVER healed Roger. It did not even get better. What healed was asthma and bronchitis. So I honestly don't think you can genralize your theorey regarding the raw food and depression healing.
Thanks again, Dina

Hello Dina,
I'm sorry to hear you struggled with depression. Glad to hear that you healed your asthma and bronchitis. I hope what I say below may be of help to you in some way.
Of course, one can't generalize. There are way too many differing factors which can cause depression. Including not everyone suffers depression for the same reasons. My reason at that point in life was for only one thing, it was the cooked food and ONLY the cooked food causing my depression.
If I went back to eating too much cooked food my depression came back very quickly.
I never took antidepressants. So I was able to heal immediately.
Antidepressants actually change the structure of your mind and therefore things will go much slower for people who take those.
Please if you are taking antidepressants do some independent research on them because you'll discover they can permanently alter your brain chemistry.
Afterall, I doubt anyone has a Prozac or Zoloft deficiency.
For others going 100% raw they may not heal depression in one day like I did. But they will heal if the depression is bodily related.
In my work with hundreds of Raw Foodists and attending many raw food support group meetings I can't tell you how many times people have either healed of depression or never went into a depression when they were raw.
What I mean is that in general people find it much easier to deal with stress and hard times when they don't have DIS - ease in their bodies.
I've seen it over and over again. Going Optimal Raw stacks the deck in your favor.
If you've been taking antidepressants, you'll likely have to go 100% raw for at least a couple of months and then start gradually weaning yourself off the medications with the help of your doctor.
I've even had two friends who were on antidepressants over 10 years and managed to get off of them and beat their depression by going 100% raw. It just took a bit more time and patience.
My one friend had a rough day once she completely weaned herself off her antidepressants but the next day she finally started to feel great without them. But she had already been 100% raw for over a year and had lost about 100 pounds before she tackled her depression issue.
Next is how you do the Raw Food Diet. It must be done correctly, as I teach with the Optimal Raw Food Diet - http://HowToGoRaw.com
Unfortunately, 95% of the people attempting to go raw are doing it incorrectly. Most people start off doing what I call Hollywood Raw or Atkins Raw. It's a high fat method of going raw with lots of dehydrated foods, oils and so called superfoods.
They've been scared off of eating the most important food in a Raw Diet — the real superfood — which is of course fresh and raw fruit. Fruit is without doubt a HAPPINESS food.
So please understand that going raw can help dramatically in how you feel mentally and emotionally.
Who's going to feel better the person eating "poison" cooked matter (not even a food really) or the person eating nourishing "units of love and light" raw fruits and vegetables?
Cooked food is CHAOTIC. It causes chaos and darkness in the human body.
There's no question that if you eat the Optimal Raw Food Diet — http://HowToGoRaw.com you will do far better than a person eating cooked poison and chaos on a plate and in the bowl.
Also realize this though — some people actually get a mild depression when "initially" going raw.
Why?
Because they don't know how to deal with their emotions and feelings that are for the first time showing themselves in the person's awareness. Cooked food can actually suppress emotions in many people.
Why do you think women and men actually go for a huge bowl of ice cream or other "comfort" foods when times are rough?
It's a way of shutting off the pain of their emotions and turning the emotions off. Other people just go to drugs and alcohol to shut down the emotions.
So when confronted with their feelings for the first time, some people have a hard time dealing with them initially. It's because they've been suppressing these feelings most of their lives with mounds of cooked crap like ice cream, chocolate and candy bars.
But I've noticed for most raw foodists that get it, the mild depression goes away within a short time. They soon learn how to deal with their emotions and are happier than ever.
Certainly depression as other health issues can be complex. There are many factors that can cause it.
Maybe you're not getting enough light, exercise or fresh air. Maybe you have hidden fears you need to deal with. Maybe you hold anger towards a person, persons or group of people.
Fear was the initial cause of my depression for 6.5 years but within a year or two, I resolved most of those fears and yet nothing I did seemed to get me out of my depression.
It wasn't until I opened my mind to the possibility that it was food that was causing my problems that I healed my depression.
Yes, I used to believe that food has zero to do with my depression. Boy was I wrong.
So consider going raw and this time staying raw and doing it the right way and getting plenty of support from like-minded people as you can at my raw coaching and support website –http://HowToGoRaw.com.
There are numerous pitfalls to going 100% raw including the fact like in your case that not everyone will heal of the same diseases in the same time frame.
But you're always going to be better off by eating a natural, raw and unprocessed diet versus the poor excuse for food most people shove down their throats.
Cooked food only feels good in the mouth, once it goes down the throat and into your digestive system it starts reeking havoc all over the body.
As a raw foodist who has sometimes gone back to cooked food, I can attest to that.
When you're 100% raw and you have a meal of cooked food it only tastes good in your mouth. Once you start digesting and dealing with the poison you start feeling the backlash almost immediately.
And this is a good thing because your body does not in any way enjoy cooked food. For a Raw Foodist the body tells you right away if you're putting something in it that doesn't belong there.
Unfortunately with a cooked food eater the body has given up after the constant onslaught of toxic and chaotic poisons.
Consequently, your body won't tell you every single time you've made a transgression because virtually everything you eat is poisoning you and committing you to a less than fulfilled and happy life.
Remember, raw fruits are happiness foods. I only needed to eat 50% raw to get off my depression. But the more raw I ate the happier I felt.
For anyone like me who wants to reach their full Superbeing potentials in life going 100% raw is the only way to go.
Cheers,
Roger Haeske The 42-Year Old Teanajer
P.S. Last year I took a poll of my subscribers and discovered their single biggest problem in succeeding with the Raw Food Diet. Curious as to what it is?
It was the taste stupid!
No I'm not calling you stupid, it's just a popular phrase Bill Clinton used to use about the economy back in the 90's.
Obviously, most people would GO RAW if their raw food was just as delicious, pleasurable and convenient to them as cooked food was.
Never in the history of the Raw Food Movement has it been easier to squash dinnertime cooked food cravings. My Savory Veggie Stews are almost out of pre-release. We've added about 6 new videos to the program just this week alone and more to come soon as we've already filmed them and just need to edit and upload.
When we're finished adding all of the videos and bonuses the pre-release will be over and it will go back to the full price.
The great news is you can get it now at close to a 50% discount.
http://HowToGoRaw.com to see what all the fuss is about. Over 1,300 copies sold so far just in the Pre-Release phase.
And time is of the essence. As I add in more bonuses the price goes up after each one that's added. It has already gone up in price 10 times during the Pre-Release phase.
So get your copy NOW and discover for yourself why it's so darn easy for our raw family to stay 100% raw.
It's the taste stupid. We're just addicted to Savory Veggie Stews.
