These Mistakes Ruin most Raw Food Diet Newbies
A friend of ours was needlessly stabbing herself in the back when it comes to going 100% raw and staying raw.
What's so exasperating is that we could have easily helped her but she chose to not ask us questions.
That was actually her second mistake. Not getting advice from real live, healthy, radiant, fit and thin raw foodists who are friends of hers.
She had three of us as incredible living examples of glowing health and yet her book knowledge overruled what she could see with her eyes.
In fact, never has she seen a more incredible child than Andrew in her entire life and she has three children and several grand children of her own.
Anyways, she just made gazillions of false assumptions about the Raw Food Diet that we had to weed out.
Of course, I made the EXACT same mistakes myself before I was successfully 100% raw. So I can't really blame her now, can I?
It takes a while for people to develop what I call the "100% Raw Food Diet Mindset."
Without that mindset or belief system it's impossible to stay 100% raw. You will ALWAYS self-sabotage yourself until you gain this mindset.
It's all about becoming CLEAR.
The biggest obstacle in anyone succeeding with going raw is past programming.
There'll always be a 100% believable reason why you can't and shouldn't stay 100% raw from your previous cooked food life training.
For instance, she's always so incredibly concerned about the protein issue. When in reality it's one of the easiest nutrients to get enough of.
But the meat and dairy industries are only strong in protein and so they've created this myth that getting enough protein is more important than any other nutrient.
What a bunch of baloney.
All of the nutrients are important if you don't get enough. But it's virtually impossible not to get enough protein if you eat enough calories.
Did you know that every food on the planet has protein in it? It has to because all cells are made with protein and all food is made up of cells.
Even though we've explained to her REPEATEDLY (as long as 6 months ago) all sorts of reasons her protein theory was totally false.
To me one of the most obvious arguments is in mother's milk. It's only 6% protein when measured by calories. Little Andrew when he was a baby more than doubled in weight in one year while drinking mother's milk.
I wonder if our friend is planning to double in size any time soon. I sure hope not. Turns out I easily get 6 to 8% protein by eating raw fruits and vegetables. Why should ANY adult (even body-builders) need more protein than a baby?
Have you seen a body builders actually double in size in 8-months? That's just impossible.
But no matter how many angles we took the protein issue from it just didn't make sense to her.
She was so adamant that we needed protein for recovery after a workout. This is just her book knowledge speaking, not real world experience.
Again I pointed to myself as an example. I workout intensely all of the time, I have muscles but I don't eat any traditional protein sources at all. I have tons of energy to go all day long. I can and do compete with 20 year olds and teanajers in tennis and soccer.
And quite frankly I recover just fine and workout virtually every day and quite vigorously by starting my day with Instant Energy Exercises and later doing my Lightning Speed Fitness Program.

Of course, I cross train in a number of areas, I'm a human dynamo. I'm living proof you don't need concentrated protein sources to be muscular, fit and incredibly energetic.
Then to make it more believable we told her about a friend of ours Michael Arnstein who just came in first place in a triathalon. I think the previous day he ran a marathon and came in second while being 100% raw vegan.
Ever since going 100% low-fat raw his marathon times have improved dramatically and so has his ability to recover. It's just incredible.
Or what about another friend of ours Harley aka Durian Rider. He just told me that he has driven on his bicycle as much as 515 kilometers in one day and 1,530 kilometers in a week. All this while eating just raw fruits and vegetables and with no protein powders. But he has eaten up to 70 bananas in a single day. Yet you couldn't say he's overweight in any way.
Harley and his girlfriend Freelee have a great low-fat raw community that you'll want to join:
Anyways we went back and forth on one raw food nutritional myth after another for at least 3 hours. Then finally, Karmyn and I both started to realize that living proof, right in front of her eyes is not what would convince her.
She was the type who's more convinced by a book. So we gave her Dr. Graham's books, "The 80-10-10 Diet" and "Nutrition and Athletic Performance" to read.
She needed a massive infusion of new ideas (from a book) in order for her to open her mind to a new realm of possibilities. To give her credit she was very excited to read these books after our myth shattering discussion.
She needed to kick out the alternative medical and nutritional "knowledge" and replace it with natural raw food wisdom. And she must continue doing this until she gains the 100% Raw Food Diet Mindset.
The funny thing is that she even thinks her previous diet was a healthy diet. So why is she at least 30 pounds overweight? Why does she have a cooked food face?
What she didn't realize is that any diet with a preponderance of cooked food is pure junk and health and happiness destroying compared to the Optimal Raw Food Diet.
Heck, she didn't understand the dangers of caffeine. People think they can drink green tea and be healthy even though it's loaded with the cell-toxic-poison caffeine.
She thought that was healthy. And she wondered why she was so tired when going raw. Now she's got to detox from her so-called healthy diet.
Anyways, I have a great and complimentary resource for you that rips apart many of the biggest raw food myths out there.
Take a listen over here for some raw food myth-busting audios. In one of them I interview long time low-fat raw foodist Dr. Tim Trader.
Go to http://HowToGoRaw.com/audios.htm to get these phree audios.
Anyways, I can go on and on with what has happened in this back and forth with our friend. She had another shocking belief that I'll cover in a future email.
No go eat some bananas,
